Project manager, HVAC and refrigeration

It is rewarding to see the results of your own work in practice.

I come from Juva in Savo countryside from small farmer's family where hard work has been learned from an early age. I went to the University of Applied Sciences in Mikkeli, where I graduated as a HVAC engineer in 1990. I chose the HVAC sector to see the results of my work in concrete terms. I believe that the work situation in this field would be good also in the future has also been true.

I came to Hepacon for work placement in 1998 and after graduation I got to work in the new premises of Malmi Consulting Center. I learned refrigeration technology in M.Sc. Ossi Rauno's lesson plan. Ossi was a very pragmatic and cordial daddy, thanks to him for being interested in the refrigeration engineering.

At work typical week usually includes 1 to 3 meetings a day, and between them CAD design.

For me, most important things in the workplace are the versatility and challenges of work, as well as effortless interaction with colleagues. In this respect Hepacon has responded well to my wishes. In addition to this, it is extremely rewarding when designing a reliable facility that achieves significant energy savings as a result of the right design solutions. It is interesting to see the results of your own work in practice.

My family is a wife, a boy and a miniature schnauzer, and they all have an important part of my life. My hobbies are hunting, fishing, cross-country skiing and jogging. Nothing will win a willow grouse hunting yacht in Lapland with good friends and dogs or once a year a skiing trip to Ylläs in the spring sunshine.
